Who do I call if I have a question about my claim?

Contact our Claims Administer at 608-222-2245 to see if we have the answers.  We work with hundreds of insurance claims each year and are very familiar with how the process works.  We understand how daunting and confusing the whole insurance claim/restoration process can be to the policy holder and are here to help!  It may be that the answer needs to come from your adjustor or agent and we can help facilitate and document that communication also.

What is a “post-con”?

Post-con stands for Post Construction Cleaning.  This is usually the last step in your insurance claim.  In most cases we are able to clean any construction dust from the areas of your home that were affected as part of your claim.  We will work with your insurance company to get this approved if it applies.

How long will it take to dry my house?

Drying a structure affected by water can be a very complex process.  We factor in several variables which may include types of materials affected, amount of water, length of time the materials have been wet, current environmental conditions inside and outside your home, and other factors which may be outside of anyone’s control.  This process can take anywhere from 1 day to around 2 weeks, however most structures can be dried effectively in 3-5 days.  We will visit your property daily to monitor the progress and can give you an update day by day.

How long until my house is back to normal?

In some cases we are able to dry all structural components completely without any need for repairs.  However if building materials need to be removed to dry, once the water is dry or the smoke odors are removed, the remaining repairs can be done within one to four weeks on average.   However some losses with severe damage can take as long as six months.  Certain materials like ordering cabinets or windows have longer lead times, so making decisions quickly on those components can shorten repair times.
